Glint vs Epic Pen, Presentify, ScreenBrush and Ink2Go.

Glint differs from Epic Pen, Presentify, ScreenBrush and Ink2Go on one point: its annotations are attached to interface elements, not to screen pixels, and they follow the element when the page scrolls.

None of the other four products claims this behaviour on its website. Everything else in the table comes from each publisher's official pages and Mac App Store listings, checked on 13 September 2026.

What Glint does differently

One thing, said plainly.

Glint reads the interface elements of the app under your cursor, such as a button, a field or a row, and attaches each annotation to the element you point at. When the page scrolls or the window moves, the mark moves with it. The other four apps draw on a layer of pixels over the screen, and none of them describes annotations that follow the content underneath.

The Halo is a radial menu that opens under the pointer, so tools and colours are one short move away wherever you are on the screen. Epic Pen, ScreenBrush and Ink2Go use a toolbar; Presentify uses a panel in the menu bar.

Fading annotations and a light around the cursor are common in this category. Epic Pen and Presentify fade their ink too, and three of the four offer a cursor highlight or a spotlight. Glint has both, in Pro, and they do not set it apart. The element attachment does.
